A total of 168 laying hens and 21 cocks of Matrouh local strain at 24 weeks of age (At 43.93 % egg production)was used in a completely randomized design among seven treatment groups with three replicates per treatment group (8 hens and 1 cock per replicate).Birds are bi-weekly injected, up to 36 weeks of age (12 weeks). The 1st treatment group of birdswere injected with saline solution 0.9% only and served as control, The birds in 2nd and 3rd treatment groups, were injected subcutaneously with 100 and 200 μg Gibberellic acid (GA3)/kg body weight (BW), respectively. The 4th and 5th treatment groups were injected with50 and 100 μg Royal Jelly (RJ)/kg BW, respectively. The 6th treatment group was injected subcutaneously with 50μg GA3 plus25μg RJ/kg BW. The 7th treatment group was injected subcutaneously with 100 μg GA3 plus 50μg RJ/kg BW. The same 7 treatment groups were used also, on 21 cocks in individual batteries to take semen quality. The obtained results revealed that, Injection with 100 , 200 μg GA3 or50 , 100 μg RJ /kg BW of Matrouh chicks improved significantly (P(BWC),fertility eggs %, hatchability/total eggs % and chicks hatch weight (g), sperm-cell concentration (X 109/ml) and sperm motility (%), while significantly (P<0.05) decreased each of dead spermatozoa (%), sperm abnormalities (%), and acrosomal damage (%) as compared with the control group. Layers injected by 100 , 200 μgGA3/kg body weight showed significantly (P≤0. 05 and P≤0. 01) improved feed conversion ratio (FCR), egg production (EP)% and egg mass (EM) compared with those the groups 50 , 100 μg RJ /kg BW and control groups through the whole of the experimental period. Injection with 50, 100 μg of RJ /kg BW caused to increase significantly (P≤0. 01) in IgG and IgM and primary and secondary antibody titer against sheep red blood cells (SRBC's) in hens as compared with100, 200 μg of GA3and the control group. Injection 100 , 200 μg of GA3 /kg BW caused to increase significantly (P≤0. 05 and P≤0. 01) in concentration of estrogen in hens and testosterone of cocks, FSH and LH in hens and cocks when compared with those in control group. In conclusion, injection with 100, 200 μg GA3 /kg BWimproved productive, reproductive and physiological performance of males and females Matrouh. Furthermore, the RJ-treated groups had significantly improved immune responses in hens and the quality of semen parameters in cocks under summer season conditions in Egypt.

Used Helianthus tuberous(Jerusalem artichoke)as supplement to product function yoghurt to enhance native value health benefits and to improve rheological,phyisco-chemical and sensory properties of final product. Yoghurt was made from fresh cow ,s milk fortificaed with the conventionl yoghurt starter culture containing Bifidobacterim bifidum, Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus acidophilus .Jerusalem artichoke extract( JAE) was added at levels 3,5and 7%.then storage for 15 days, at 5±1◦C. Results showed that moisture content was increase by increasing addition rate of JAE unit 7%(T3) No significant difference between the control sample and the treated sample of protein, fat and ash. There were significant increase of fibers content in all treatment, compared with control. Yoghurt with 7%(T3)had the highest content of amino acids compare with other treatments and control the data also showed that (T2) supplementation yoghurt with (JAE) (5%)had the highest content of vitB3 T3 compared with other treatments. No-significant decrease in PH values at 3% JAE compared to the control sample at zero time Meanwhile ,this decrease became significant with treatments 3, 5and 7%JAE at zero 5,10 and 15 days storage. The rate of syneresis increase by the rate of JAE till7% comparing with control. Yoghurt supplementated by 5% JAE demonstrated a high rheological and phisco-chemical properties than ather treatment and control The total viable bacterial count TVBC between the control and the treated sample with 3% JA E had no significance difference compared to sample contained 7% JAE. lactic acid bacteria showed higher and progressive increase as seen in the amp1es contained JA E at levels of 3, 5 and 7% resulted in high1y significance between treated samples and the control Molds and yeasts enumeration of Bio-yoghurt as affected by supplementing with JAE are registered in the same table. No numbers of these populations recorded in fresh samples as affected by higher heat of milk and the used ingredients and phenolic compounds contained in both Jerusalem artichoke. Psychrophilic bacteria showed that it did not detect in Bio- yoghurt wither supplemented with JAE at different levels of supplementation. Conclusively, from these results, it could be concluded that supplementation dairy products with Jerusalem artichoke as treatment for diabetes. Because if it was approved that it reduces the level of glucose in blood, because they contain many vitamins and nutrients necessary and beneficial to human health.

The research aimed to study the relative importance of the individual annual expenditure on food and non-food expenditure, and the relative importance of individual annual expenditure on the main food groups in rural and urban Egypt in 2015, 17/2018. The research aimed to estimate expenditure elasticity of food commodities, In addition to study the effect of household size, the effect of the different region (rural and urban) and the different period on individual annual expenditure on food groups. The research depend on the secondary published data by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, Income, Expenditure and Consumption survey in 2015, 17/2018. The research depends on descriptive and quantitative methods to analyze data. The most important results were that expenditure on food and drink in rural Egypt represented a greater percentage than expenditure on food and drink in the urban of Egypt in 2015, 17/2018, and expenditure on food and drink in 17/2018 represented a greater percentage than expenditure on food and drink in 2015. Expenditure elasticity of food groups in general is less than one, which indicates that all food groups are necessary commodities for the consumer in 2015 compared with 17/2018. The household size has significant statistically effect on the all food groups except for fish group in 2015 compared with 17/2018. The effect of different region (rural, urban) on individual annual expenditure has a significant statistical effect on fish group, sugar and sugary foods group, dairy, cheese, eggs group, and non-alcoholic drinks group in 2015 compared with 17/2018. Effect of different period on individual annual expenditure has a significant statistical on the different food groups in 2015 compared with 17/2018. Conclusively, the study recommends that necessary limit the population increase, and spread food awareness among the community members especially in rural areas.

Two field experiments were carried out at the experimental Farm, Faculty of Technology and Development(Ghazala farm), Zagazig university El Sharkia Governorate, Egypt during the summer season of 2017 and 2018 to investigate the effect of chopped rice straw and foliar spray with potassium and phosphorus fertilizers sweet potato cv. Minufiya 6 growing at summer seasons in clay soil, on growth, yield and quality. The experiment was set out in a randomized complete blocks design where including seven treatments, which were chopped, rice straw at 2kg/ridge only and in combinatory with potassium and phosphorus at 2 and 4 mll-1as well as control. The results indicated that application of chopped rice straw at the rate of 4kg/ridge with foliar spray of potassium and phosphorus at 4mll-1 was the most effective treatment for increasing the morphological trail of plants and its chemical composition. Also, this treatment recorded the highest values of total and marketable tuber root yield, as well as the best tuber physical characters( fresh weight, length and diameter) and maximum concentration of nutritive values, i.e. N, P, K, protein and starch percentage , besides the root content of carotene. Conclusively, it could be concluded that the obtained results, it can be recommended that the treatment of 4 kg/ridge of chopped rice straw and foliar application of potassium and phosphorus at the concentration of 4 mll-1 for improving the properties of clay soil and to access the vigorous plant growth, maximum production with the best tuber quality of sweet potato.

Botanical Gardens Res. Depart., Hort. Res. Instit. ARC. Giza, Egypt.
The natural vegetative reproduction of narcissus plants under field conditions is very slow, as onion mothers produce few follicles, therefore increasing the production of the number of onions is one of the important things to improve the multiplication of narcissus bulbs. Therefore, during 2018 and 2019seasons in the laboratory of Sakha Horticultural Research Station, Egypt, an experimental research was performed to study the effect of cutting methods of bulb (chipping and twin-scaling), storage temperatures (pre-cooling and no pre-cooling) and hot-water treatments (hot water and no hot water) on the propagation of Narcissus tazetta cv. “Ziva” bulbs. The obtained results indicated that, chipping, pre-cooling and hot water treatments constantly affected the bulblet formation in both seasons and bulblet weight / chip in the first season only but had no effect on bulblets number. Chipping method improved all traits i.e. bulblet formation, fresh weight, circumference of bulblet and bulblets number / chip, leaves number and length as well as roots/chip. However, chipping caused in larger and fewer bulblets than twin-scaling. In the second season, pre-cooling was increased bulblet formation and both weight and circumference of bulblet and decreased number and length of leaves and roots. Hot-water treatments were increased bulblet formation but then number and length of leaves and roots were reduced. Conclusively, it could be recommended to applybulb cutting, pre cooling storage methods and hot water treatment on the bulbs to give the best results in propagation of Narcissus tazetta.
