Abstract
The state's food security is achieved through local production using available local resources and the use of productive methods to achieve maximization of  agricultural production. 
The state imports commodities through trade to achieve and provide commodities to the population, and food security is achieved through commodity supply, whether from production or imports, or both. important role of trade in the completion of the provision of the population need food commodities to which the deficit and achieve a certain level of supply in the market to bring about stability and the balance of the economy of the state.
The study showed that agricultural imports doubled during the period of increased agricultural deficit, and then rose deficit food balance in terms of food imports doubled by about 400% and rising deficit in the food balance of about 1021 million dollars to about 3942 million dollars during the period 2010 -2016and increasing quantities of imports from Poultry meat, milk, fish and vegetables, the decrease in the amount of imports of red meat, the absence of imports of eggs, and a surplus from 2009/2010 it became clear that food security expected in  2030increases in meat, eggs and milk, and decreases in poultry meat, fish and vegetables.
 Conclusively, the research recommends the need to expand foreign trade in order to raise the Kuwaiti economy as well as meet the needs of the population.
