Abstract
Egyptian agricultural exports are among the most important pillars of the Egyptian agricultural sectorand the national economy. With the technological development in the current era, electronic commerce is rapidly growing. This study aimed to examine the role of e-commerce and its applications in the development of Egyptian agricultural exports. This study included 85 respondents from exporting companies. The questionnaire is the main tool for data collection. The questionnaire consisted of three parts: The first part: includes the general data of the company. The second part: includes the six dimensions of the study (the availability of infrastructure supporting e-commerce, the availability of legal frameworks and laws governing e-commerce, the protection of privacy and security over the Internet in commercial transactions, Electronic crimes , the electronic payments, the role of electronic commerce in increasing exports. The most important resultsthrough the opinion of the respondents: the proportion of companies that produce both fresh and processed products were (41.18%), companies whose marketing scope is the European Union were (65)، companies that had a department specialized in marketing operations were (69)، companies that have obtained a number of deals during the last three years through electronic commerce were (67)، companies that export a variety of agricultural products were (28). The total degree of availability of infrastructure supporting to activate e-commerce (86.16)، legal frameworks and laws for e-commerce (88.26)، to protect online privacy and security in commercial transactions (74.25)، online payments Electronic and paper deliberation (87.16)، the institution's activation of e-commerce applications and tools (73.61)،the role of e-commerce in increasing exports (71.48). Attitudes of all companies from the study sample towards electronic commerce were high، with an approval rate of 80.15%. There is also a positive significant correlation between the six study factors and the increase in exports.
Conclusively, it was concluded that electronic commerce plays a major role in increasing the agricultural crops exports.
